In the Mountains

This weekend we fulfilled one of my 30 before 30 goals and took the girls for their first ever camping trip.  Friday night we loaded up the car with a borrowed tent and piles of blankets, and headed ... View Post about In the Mountains

Days With One

Tuesday, Zara took a big step and headed off to her first day of "school."  With the amount of work I have been doing, Chris and I decided it would be good for me to get some extra daylight work hours ... View Post about Days With One

  • A couple of pictures from our eighth state Capitol visit in Denver. Swipe to see a view of Denver from up in the dome.  Usually they won't let little kids up in the dome but that was not the case in Colorado, so this Capitol building was special in that way.

We spent the week at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Lakewood, with a day trip up to Fort Collins on Wednesday, which allowed me to visit with clients and the girls to spend time with their friends. And on Thursday, Chris backtracked with the girls to Colorado Springs to eat at the restaurant one of his former sous chefs opened ( I stayed at the trailer to work. ). It was a good week, though a little hectic with the extra day trips. Now we're heading to Utah for a visit to Arches National Park and our 9th state capital.

There are more photos from the Capitol building in my stories if you want to check them out. .

  • We've never known what we were having for any of our past pregnancies. I always love the surprise and not knowing what we're having until baby is born, though it seems to torture everyone else. This time I think I might be convinced to find out what we're having because planning is feeling a lot more important these days.

What do you think? Should we find out?
  • We made it! Day 2 of our trip was an epic 15 hour drive. We decided to suck it up and push through to make up for lost time the day before and today we're all thankful to not have to drive anywhere. By the time we got to the campsite outside of Denver, I was completely beat so I'm just pulling pictures off my camera now. Even with the long drive, we did stop so I could take a picture of the Colorado welcome sign just south of Trinidad, Colorado. Small victories. 😁 ⠀

We're in Denver for a week, then headed to Utah. Tomorrow we're going to trek up to Fort Collins and see a client + some friends. It'll be nice to be back in one of our many past homes for a bit. Right now we're just reveling in not having to be in the truck and temperatures in the 70's.
  • Driving into clear skies. If you saw my story, you know we're got a super late start because just as we were starting to hitch up the trailer the tornado sirens went off. We looked at the radar and decided to play it safe, so stopped hitching and went back into the the house to wait things out. We're on the road now for hopefully our only night drive of the trip. Colorado bound.
  • A couple of weeks ago I shared a picture of the mama fox who had been coming right outside my office window to eat fruit from a tree. Well it turns out she made a den under the shed behind the building and every now and then we are starting to get glimpses of babies! They're so fuzzy and cute, I almost want to take one home. ❤️ ⠀
