• Spending 5 days in NYC was fun, but it was way too long to be away from these girlies! They're my heart and soul, and I barely know what to do without them.

This week, I am grateful to be setting back into our home routine with my three mini-me's. I think we're finally done traveling for a few weeks and we're all looking forward to catching our breath a bit before talking plans for holiday adventures.
  • Chris caught me hard at work on the roof of our hotel, overlooking the Hudson. I swear I'm having a good time...just a moment of concentration. 😂 .. We came to New York to attend @lwtech's NY Summit, and we had an 🌟amazing🌟 time. I've been developing websites for Lesbian Who Tech since 2014, and it has been amazing to be a (small) part of the organization's growth. I've always felt proud to be coding for good, but spending time at this conference and finally getting to experience it first hand has really solidified it for me. .. This week, Chris and I have met and listened to talks given by incredibly kind, intelligent, and tenacious women and LGBTQ folk of all ethnicities and backgrounds. Never before have I been to a conference where I have laughed so hard or learned so much in such an inclusive and badass environment. I'm thankful for this experience and the amazing doors owning my own business has opened for me. .
Now, it's Friday night and the conference is wrapping up - we're going to the after party for one last evening of fun with our new friends, then tomorrow we fly home to give our babies a much needed squeeze. . . .

  • We found a farmer's market in #hellskitchen - a spot of nature in the concrete city. 🌷🌻
  • Feeling #Nantucket nostalgic @gwmarket... Lobster roll + @ciscobrewers Whale's Tail = heaven
  • Exploring the #uppereastside of #nyc with Chris this evening.

We came to New York yesterday on a business trip without the girls. It's the first time we've left Addie and I'm still crazy anxious about that, though the girls are in good hands with my mom and it is nice to spend time just with Chris.
