The Brotherhood is open again today and I won’t lie, I’m pretty sad about it.
I’m glad that I’ll have another awesome option for dinner, but I’m also sad that Chris is back to work, for several reasons:
Yes, he is THAT amazing. I don’t know how you people who didn’t marry chefs survive.
It’s more than that, though. It was so wonderful to have him at home — he did an unbelievable amount of work on his vacation (the three C’s — childcare, cooking, and cleaning) so that I could have a vacation of sorts, too. And it was just generally nice to be able to see him for more than a few waking hours each day. I know Nora loved having her Dada home and I really did too. We had a slow easing back to normal this week; he was at the restaurant getting ready during the days and home in the evenings, but today it’s back to normal and I’m sad.We want more Dada time.
